Box 388 <br />Stockton, CA 95202-0388 <br />Subject: Transmittal of State Inspection Report — Foothill Sanitary Landfill - Facility File <br />No. 39 -AA -0004 <br />Dear Ms. Heran, <br />California Integrated Waste Management Board staff conducted a State inspection of the <br />Foothill Sanitary Landfill on August 20, 2002. This was completed pursuant to Division <br />30, Public Resources Code, Sections 43219(a) and 43220. A copy of the State inspection <br />report is enclosed. A copy of this correspondence has also been forwarded to the facility <br />operator. <br />The facility was evaluated for compliance with applicable sections of Division 30 of the PRC <br />(30 PRC) and Title 27 California Code of Regulations (27 CCR), Chapter 3 - Criteria for All <br />Waste Management Units, Facilities, and Disposal Sites, and Chapter 4 - Documentation and <br />Reporting For Regulatory Tiers, Permits, WDR's, and Plans. <br />No violations or areas of concern of 30 PRC or 27 CCR were noted. However, an inspection of <br />the facility's records proved difficult and time consuming at the Public Works office. Since your <br />staff has to check records monthly, it is recommended that they review with Public Works staff <br />and representatives of Foothill Sanitary Landfill Inc. the requirements of Title 27 CCR §20510 <br />and Title 27 CCR §20515. <br />As always, this office is available to assist you.
