Native soil used for cover <br />Background: This was an 18 -month state inspection. The facility is used predominately to serve the Lovelace Transfer Station, which <br />comprises approximately 90 percent of the landfill's waste stream. The other 10 percent is made up of self -haul public waste. The land <br />surrounding the facility is rangeland. The area fill method is used. Native soil is used as daily cover. Surveying has begun for a new cell <br />south of the active face. San Joaquin County Department of Public Works subcontracts daily operations of the landfill to Foothill Sanitary <br />Landfill Inc., (209) 887-3969. <br />Previous Inspection Results: <br />The previous State inspection of this facility was conducted on February 16, 2001. No violations or areas of concern were noted as part of <br />Title 27, California Code of Regulations (27 CCR), Division 2, Subdivision 1, CIWMB Regulations for Treatment, Storage, Processing or <br />Disposal of Solid Waste. <br />Inspection Results: <br />CIWMB staff conducted the 18 -month inspection pursuant to 30 Public Resources Code (30 PRC), Section 43220. The inspection <br />identified no violations of 30 PRC. <br />The facility was also evaluated for compliance with 27 CCR, Division 2, Subdivision 1, CIWMB Regulations for Treatment, Storage, <br />Processing or Disposal of Solid Waste.
