The County's waste disposal <br /> facilities have been inundated with rainfall which has caused areas <br /> of erosion at the landfills. In addition, these facilities may <br /> receive a significant amount of flood-related waste during any <br /> cleanup efforts. Title 14, Division 7, Chapter 3, California Code of <br /> Regulations, allows a waiver of permit requirements and state minimum <br /> standards in the case of an emergency. In accordance with the <br /> regulations, attached is the required information for this "request <br /> for emergency waiver of standards. " The County is requesting the <br /> waiver for the Lovelace Materials Recovery Facility and Transfer <br /> Station, North County Recycling Center and Sanitary Landfill, and the <br /> Foothill Sanitary Landfill . We appreciate your cooperation during <br /> this emergency situation.
