The County's waste disposal
facilities have been inundated with rainfall which has caused areas
of erosion at the landfills. In addition, these facilities may
receive a significant amount of flood-related waste during any
cleanup efforts. Title 14, Division 7, Chapter 3, California Code of
Regulations, allows a waiver of permit requirements and state minimum
standards in the case of an emergency. In accordance with the
regulations, attached is the required information for this "request
for emergency waiver of standards. " The County is requesting the
waiver for the Lovelace Materials Recovery Facility and Transfer
Station, North County Recycling Center and Sanitary Landfill, and the
Foothill Sanitary Landfill . We appreciate your cooperation during
this emergency situation. Please call me at Extension 83066 if you
have any questions.
TH:WJ:vj
R:IVIRGINIAIMEMOSIPM7WAV98.MH
Attachment
TA 11102
LA 31102
LA 61102
