Water quality for these concentrated developments with <br /> existing soil types require adequate monitoring provided by <br /> law for public water systems. This safety feature would not <br /> be provided by individual residential water wells. <br /> 5. Present legislation (AB659) will extend the number of <br /> chemicals allowed in public water systems by 12. The Maximum <br /> Contaminant Level (MCL) will be established for these <br /> additional chemicals allowing for a more broader protection <br /> of the underground water acquifer.
