FLINN
DEPUTY DIRECTOR
MANUEL LOPEZ
DEPUTY DIRECTOR
On January 31, 1995, Solid Waste Division staff monitored for
landfill gas migration in accordance with previously submitted
monitoring plans for the North County and Foothill Sanitary
Landfills. The equipment used was a Gas Tech Landfill Monitor
equipped with parts per million (ppm), Lower Explosive Limit
(5%), and 100% gas scales. The 5% gas scale did not detect any
gas, so the ppm scale was used for monitoring. The instrument
was calibrated with a 2.5% methane mixture and was warmed up for
approximately ten minutes prior to monitoring.
The results from the second monitoring event are shown on the
attached maps for each site. The readings for all holes and
structures are shown adjacent to their locations on the maps.
if you have any questions, please call me at Extension 83066.
GK: WIT: vj
R:VIRGINIAjNC-FHGAS.EP
Attachments
LA 63229
LA 31209
