FINDING <br />AIR QUALITY <br />PM -10 Emissions <br />Project does exceed PM -10 <br />Emissions Standards. <br />Vehicle Idling <br />Project does exceed PM -10 <br />Emissions Standards. <br />Odors -Recyclables <br />Stored recyclable materials <br />may emit odors. <br />TRANSPORTATION <br />Traffic may be delayed at: <br />entrance to facility <br />intermittently. <br />RP-SA015.15 <br />APPENDIX A <br />MITIGATION FINDINGS AND MONITORING PLAN FOR <br />INCREASED WASTE QUANTITIES AND RECYCLING PROJECT <br />FOOTHILL SANITARY LANDFILL <br />MITIGATION MEAS <br />All haul roads will be <br />maintained to and watered to <br />help eliminate particulate <br />matter. The entrance road to <br />the landfill (20 ft. wide, <br />2,000 ft. long) was paved in <br />1992 to reduce YM -10 <br />emissions. <br />The Department of Public Works <br />should implement, a policy <br />which limits heavy-duty diesel <br />vehicles to a m ximum idling <br />time of 20 minutes. <br />If objectionable odors are <br />created by stor,ige of <br />recyclable materials, the <br />materials will he taken to <br />market at that time. <br />Landfill personnel will direct <br />traffic during peak traffic <br />times to avoid disruption of <br />traffic flows.
