C. Review of submittals by the County does not relieve the contractor of responsibility to <br /> follow the contract specifications, nor does it relieve the contractor from responsibility <br /> for errors or omissions in the submittal. Allowed deviations from the contract <br /> specifications, if any, will be specifically and explicitly identified in writing by the <br /> County. <br /> D. Contractor shall submit proposals for substitutions to the Engineer, and shall obtain <br /> approval of those substitutions before proceeding with those substitutions. <br /> PART 3 - EXECUTION <br /> I. General <br /> All work shall be in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements. <br /> Work may not start until the work crew is in possession of project design documents, provided <br /> by Contractor. <br /> A. LFG System Shut Down <br /> Contractor shall not shut down the LFG systems without consent of the Engineer. <br /> Contractor shall provide minimum of 48 hrs written notice for any need LFG system <br /> shutdown and the duration of the shutdown to the Engineer. Engineer will notify San <br /> Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District(AQMD) before approving any shutdown <br /> request. <br /> B. Labeling <br /> Label well heads, valves, and valve boxes with oil-based paint indicating well number. <br /> Clean surfaces prior to painting. Labeling shall be neat and professional in appearance <br /> II. LFG Wells <br /> Placement of rock, pipe, and other materials in the well bore—collectively referred to as <br /> "Installation of the LFG well"- shall be in the presence of EHD. <br /> M. Abandoning Boreholes <br /> Notify the Engineer if an obstruction prevents the advance of the drill rig. The Engineer may <br /> direct the Contractor to abandon the borehole, and drill a replacement borehole. <br /> Placement of material within the abandoned borehole shall be in the presence of EDH staff. <br /> A. Abandoned boreholes in refuse: place soil within the borehole, moistening the soil <br /> and compacting in 2-ft lifts. <br /> FH-LFG Well Installation GX-2A 7 Revised 6-14-11 <br />
