B. Abandoned boreholes in soil: place cement slurry. The cement slurry seal shall <br /> consist of a mixture of Portland cement with not more than seven gallons of clean <br /> water per 94-pound sack (one cubic foot) of cement. <br /> IV. Trench Beneath Closure Barrier <br /> A. Restoring the barrier layer to the acceptance of regulatory agencies is of the essence. <br /> Place powdered bentonite and GCL as shown. <br /> B. Contractor shall place GCL and associated barrier materials in the presence of the <br /> Engineer and EHD staff. Call for inspection of barrier replacement a minimum 24 <br /> hours prior to placement. <br /> V. Additional Work <br /> A. Preparation of the site for drill rig access and set-up may require additional work by <br /> the Contractor. The scope of this additional work will be determined by the Engineer <br /> in consultation with the Contractor. <br /> B. Submit proposal for additional work as requested by the Engineer.
