Immediately <br /> ensure all hazardous waste is easily accessible in the case of an emergency and maintain aisle space to allow the <br /> unobstructed movement of personnel,fire protection,spill control equipment,and decontamination equipment to <br /> any area of facility operation in an emergency. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 403 CCR 66262.34(d)(2)Failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing hazardous <br /> waste. <br /> The following hazardous waste was found not properly containerized in the store's back storage area: <br /> -Eight containers of Oxi Clean laundry detergent,one leaking and another with a broken cap,were found under an <br /> empty grey tote in the mop sink. <br /> -Two damaged boxes of wine were found on a shelf adjacent the HW storage area, not bagged,nor containerized, <br /> and one of the boxes was not labeled,while the other box was labeled as Flammable HW. <br /> -Adjacent to the HW totes,were six open unlabeled white cardboard boxes containing un-bagged HW.According to <br /> a store employee, Ray, he is the only employee that processes the HW about every other day once he has time do <br /> so. <br /> -A Kiss Ready-To-Wear Gel nail package was found damaged in an open unlabeled white cardboard box, and <br /> scanned as Toxic HW. <br /> -A CVS Health Vapor Steam Cough Suppressant Camphor was found in an open unlabeled white cardboard box, <br /> and scanned as Flammable HW. <br /> -A damaged Gold Bond medicated moisturizer was found in an open unlabeled white cardboard box,and scanned <br /> as Toxic HW. <br /> -An expired Children's Zyrtec Allergy Grape Syrup was found in an open unlabeled white cardboard box,and <br /> scanned as Toxic HW. <br /> -An Olay Whip Shea Butter Body Wash was found with a broken spray nozzle was found in an open unlabeled <br /> white cardboard box,and scanned as Flammable HW. <br /> -A La Roche-Posay Anthelios 50 Ultra Light Sunscreen was found in an open unlabeled white cardboard box,and <br /> scanned as Toxic HW. <br /> -A bottle of Herbal Essences shampoo was found leaking in a StrongPak bag in an open white cardboard box <br /> labeled as"Large Items(defects)."Ray did not know what happened to the debris used to clean-up the shampoo <br /> leakage,nor did he know who conducted the clean-up. <br /> -A bottle of Creme of Nature Argan Oil spray was found leaking in a StrongPak bag without absorbent,in an open <br /> white cardboard box labeled as"Large Items(defects)." <br /> -A container of Tide laundry detergent and contaminated absorbent was found in a StrongPak bag on a bottom <br /> shelf in the storage room,but was unlabeled and not containerized. <br /> All hazardous waste containers shall be closed at all times except when adding or removing waste.
