1.03 PERMITS AND INSPECTION <br />A Permits to drill and install soil gas wells shall be obtained by the Contractor from San <br />Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD). <br />B - - Contractor shall pay for the permit fees and inspection fees to EHD. <br />C The Contractor shall schedule inspection of the well installation, with EHD Unit 6 <br />supervisor or lead senior inspector at least 48 hours before starting any construction. <br />Call (209) 468 3420 to schedule inspection. Note the name of the person contacted. <br />After scheduling inspection, the Contractor shall provide the Engineer EHD's <br />inspector's name and inspection date/time. <br />D For the purpose of thissection, installation refers to placing material in a borehole. <br />Installation does not include drilling the borehole. <br />E Installation of soil gas wells shall be in the presence of EHD inspectors. Lack of EHD <br />inspection is cause to find the well unacceptable. <br />F The contractor shall schedule well inspections with EHD. <br />PART 11. PRODUCTS <br />2.01 GENERAL <br />All materials shall be new and free of defects and subject to approval by the Engineer. <br />Engineer will inspect materials before installing. Contractor shall replace rejected materials <br />at no additional cost to the County. <br />2.02 PROBE PIPE <br />Probe pipe shall be 2- inch PVC Sch 80 flush thread. <br />2.03 COCK VALVE <br />Cock Valve shall be Hayward Industrial Products LC series stop cock valve, or equivalent, <br />with 1/4" male NPT connections. The plastic hose barb of LC series stop cock valve shall be <br />replaced with'/" brass hose barb.
