r <br />1:1 <br />NAJEEZARIF <br />INTERIM BUSINESS ADMINISTRATOR <br />January 30, 2017 <br />Mr. Todd Del Frate <br />Central Valley California Regional Water Quality Control Board <br />11020 Sun Center Drive, #200 <br />Rancho Cordova, California 95670-6114 <br />STOCKTON,CALIFORNIA+ <br />20• i/1(209) 4W2999 <br />www.sjgov.org/pubworks <br />SUBJECT: SECOND SEMIANNUAL AND ANNUAL 2016 GROUNDWATER AND SURFACE <br />WATER MONITORING REPORT, FOOTHILL SANITARY LANDFILL <br />Dear Mr. Del Frate: <br />Enclosed is the Second Semiannual and Annual 2016 Groundwater and Surface Water <br />Monitoring Report for the Foothill Sanitary Landfill, submitted in accordance with WDR No. <br />R5-2015-0058. <br />The water at all groundwater wells meets drinking water standards, and monitoring constituents <br />were generally consistent with previous monitoring periods. Below is a summary of the findings <br />for this monitoring period: <br />MW -1A - No General water quality parameters were exceeded during the 2nd semiannual <br />2016 sampling event. <br />MW -2R - No General water quality parameters were exceeded during the 2nd semiannual <br />2016 sampling event. <br />MW -3 - Bicarbonate Alkalinity was recorded at 150 mg/L during the 3rd and 41h quarter <br />events, which slightly exceeded the tolerance limit of 130 mg/L. Magnesium values <br />exceeded the concentration limit in the 2nd semester of 2016. Sodium was recorded at <br />19 mg/L during the 4th Quarter 2016 sampling event, which slightly exceeded the <br />tolerance limit of 17 mg/L. Calcium also slightly exceeded the concentration limit of 25 <br />mg/L during the 4th quarter sampling event. No other General water quality parameters <br />were exceeded during the 2nd semiannual 2016 sampling events. <br />MW -4 - No General water quality parameters were exceeded during the 2nd semiannual <br />2016 sampling event. <br />MW -5 - No General water quality parameters were exceeded during the 2nd semiannual <br />2016 sampling event. <br />MW -6 - Sodium was recorded at 18 mg/L during the 4th quarter sampling event. This <br />sodium value slightly exceeded the concentration limit of 17 mg/L. Electrical Conductivity <br />was found to be 1487 pS/cm, which exceeded the concentration limit of 710 pS/cm. No <br />other General water quality parameters were exceeded during the 2nd semiannual 2016 <br />sampling event. <br />
