Whitney placed concealer into the State Toxic HW tote. <br />- An unidentified item was found wrapped in an absorbent pad and in one bag, without the name of the item written <br />on the bag (IMG 3504). According to the hazardous waste training guide, spilled and leaked items shall be double <br />bagged with absorbent, and the name of the item should be written on the bag (IMG 3454, 3456). <br />- The following items were found in a HW tote labeled Corrosive Bases (IMG 3506): <br />- Fusion Hair Glue Remover (IMG 3509), which had a warning label stating the item was flammable (IMG 3510). <br />According to The Poster, all products (or component of a kit) with a "Flammable" signal word or symbol on the label <br />should be placed in the Flammables HW tote. Whitney placed the glue remover into the Flammables HW tote. <br />- The following items were found in a HW tote labeled Toxic & State Regulated Waste (State Toxic) (IMG 3513): <br />- An ORS Curls Unleashed Leave -In Conditioner, which had a warning label stating "Flammability is increased <br />when wearing leave -on products of this type" (IMG 3514-3515). According to The Poster, all products (or <br />component of a kit) with a "Flammable" signal word or symbol on the label should be placed in the Flammables HW <br />tote. Whitney placed the conditioner into Flammables HW tote. <br />- A sytling gel was found wrapped in an absorbent pad and in one bag, without the name of the item written on the <br />bag (IMG 3517-3518). According to the hazardous waste training guide, spilled and leaked items shall be double <br />bagged with absorbent, and the name of the item should be written on the bag (IMG 3454, 3456). <br />- A SoftSheen Carson Care Free Curl Restorer, which had a warning label stating "Product build-up can increase <br />the risk of flammability" (IMG 3519-3521). According to The Poster, all products (or component of a kit) with a <br />"Flammable" signal word or symbol on the label should be placed in the Flammables HW tote. Whitney placed the <br />curl restorer into the Flammables HW tote. <br />- A tube of Ion Permanent Hair Color and A Tube of Ion Semi -Permanent Hair Color were found in the same bag <br />(IMG 3522). According to The Poster, permanent hair color should be placed in the Corrosive Bases HW tote, while <br />semi-permanent hair color should be placed in the State Toxic HW tote. According to the hazardous waste training <br />guide, there should be only one item per bag (IMG 3454). Whitney placed the permanent hair color into the a <br />separate bag and placed it into the Corrosive Bases HW tote. <br />- A ProDip by SuperNail dip powder containing benzoyl peroxide (IMG 3523-3524). According to The Poster, items <br />containing peroxides should be placed in the Oxidizers HW tote. Also, according to the How to Categorize Products <br />- California video on the Athena application, acrylic powder nail color should be placed in the Oxidizers HW tote. <br />Whitney placed the acrylic powder into the Oxidizers HW tote. <br />- A Bella Nails 24 Press -On Nails kit containing nail glue (IMG 3525). According to the How to Categorize Products <br />- California video on the Athena application, nail glue should be placed in the Flammables HW tote. Whitney placed <br />the nail glue in the Flammables HW tote. <br />- The following was found in a HW tote labeled Oxidizers (IMG 3526): <br />- Two containers of Beyond Belief In The Glow Exfoliating Glow Mask (IMG 3528). The SDS sheet for this item <br />classifies the item as flammable (IMG 3529). Whitney placed the exfoliating glow masks into the Flammables HW <br />tote. <br />- A One 'N Only Argan Oil Treatment for hair (IMG 3531-3532). The SDS sheet for this item classifies the item as <br />not flammable, and the ingredient list does not contain peroxides, persulfates, nor hypochlorite (IMG 3533-3536), <br />which according to The Poster identifies an item to be placed in the Oxidizers HW tote. Whitney placed the oil <br />treatment into the State Toxic HW tote. <br />- The following was found in a HW tote labeled Corrosive Acids (IMG 3537): <br />- A container of Gigi Hemp hair removal wax (IMG 3539). According to the HW Information Guide, Gigi waxes <br />should be placed in the State Toxic HW tote (IMG 3468). Whitney placed the wax into the State Toxic HW tote. <br />- A container of Gigi Brazilian Body Hard Wax (IMG 3540).
