i) TASK 4. Inert empty 350 -gallon UST with 20 pounds of dry ice prior to <br />removal. All such work shall be monitored and verified by on-site inspectors, site safety <br />officer and project manager to ensure a safe and controlled tank removal process. Verify <br />lower explosion level ("LEL") is <5% flammable vapor and <5% oxygen inside UST, or <br />as directed, utilizing calibrated LEL meter (GNU, Model No. 212212) prior to removal. <br />i) TASK 5: Provide backhoe -loader tractor to remove UST from excavation. <br />Load, transport and dispose of UST at Modesto Junk Company as per Closure Application. <br />Provide copy of hazardous waste manifest for hazardous liquid waste disposal and related <br />project documentation to Garrett Backus, Ld. Sr. REHS, CUPA programs of San Joaquin <br />County Environmental Health Department. <br />1) TASK 6: Coordinate Consultant to perform third -party soil sampling as <br />directed by Inspector Backus, utilizing slide -hammer driving tool with 2 -inch by 6 -inch <br />brass or stainless steel sampling tube. Consultant will log soil sample on chain -of -custody, <br />placed in cooler with blue ice and transport to state certified laboratory, dba, California <br />Agriculture And Environmental Laboratory Iocated in Ceres, CA. <br />m) TASK 7: Upon approval, backfill excavation with pea -gravel or '/4 -inch <br />crushed rock to replace UST displacement of (f) 1.75 CY. Re -use excavated material from <br />UST excavation if free of contamination and approved for backfilling purposes. <br />o) TASK 8: Clean job site and dispose of job related debris.
