7.0 GOVERNMENT AGENCY RESEARCH
7.1 EPA Databases
The California Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) manages contaminated
sites through two sub -agencies: the State Water Resources Control Board
(SWRCB) and the Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC). The
SWRCB's GeoTracker database includes underground storage tank (UST) sites,
leaking underground storage tank (LUST) sites, cleanup program sites, and land
disposal sites. The database can be searched by reviewing two lists, the
Permitted Underground Storage Tank (UST) Sites list and the Cleanup Sites list.
DTSC's EnviroStor database includes Federal Superfund sites, State response
sites, voluntary cleanup sites, school cleanup sites, corrective action sites, and
permitted hazardous waste facilities.
Live Oak searched both databases on September 21, 2021 for any listed sites
within one-quarter mile of the Site. The subject Site was not listed on either
database. One listed facility was identified within one-quarter mile, the proposed
Estrellita High School, located on Calimyrna Road, a school site investigation
(ENVIROSTOR). No environmental conditions were identified, and no action
was required by DTSC. This facility is not anticipated to have impacted the
subject Site.
7.2 Environmental Health Department Databases
Live Oak reviewed the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department's
Cleanup, Hazardous Materials, Hazardous Waste Generators, Underground
Storage Tanks, Aboveground Storage Tanks, and Complaints databases, dated
April 2021, for facilities of concern within one-quarter mile of the Site. The
subject Site was included on the Underground Storage Tanks and Complaints
databases. Information related to these listings has been discussed in Section
6. 1, above.
One additional listed site was identified within the search radius. "Calimyrna
Road" was listed on the Complaints database. An abandoned pipe, possibly
asbestos, was found at this location in 2013. No evidence was identified of any
impacts to the subject Site.
Live Oak searched the San Joaquin County Haz Mat Viewer on September 21,
2021 for the Site and any nearby facilities with hazardous materials inventories.
The Site was not marked as a hazardous materials facility, and no hazardous
materials facilities were identified within one-quarter mile of the Site.
Live Oak reviewed the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department's
maps of Nitrate - Land Use Data and DBCP - Land Use Data dated February 20,
2019. According to the nitrate map, 20 wells within a mile of the Site were
LOGE 2149 6
