On May 11, 2021, US Ecology returned to the scene, removing 16 cubic yards of <br />contaminated soil, which is being stored at the Cal.-Trans. yard on Aurora Street in <br />Stockton, until it can be properly disposed of. The scene was determined to be returned <br />to status quo at 1030 hours by C. Muro. <br />ROAD CLOSURES: The # 3 lane of I-5 northbound south of Eight Mile Road was <br />closed for two hours and 45 minutes for vehicle removal and hazardous material marking. <br />EVACUATION DETAILS: None. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: The released diesel has a minimal effect to the <br />freeway easement and dirt shoulder. No drains or waterways were affected. <br />CLEANUP ACTIONS: US Ecology was contracted out by the company with the <br />breeched saddle tank for removal of the contaminated soil associated with the hazardous <br />materials incident, US Ecology returned for clean up on May 1 l th.
