Complaint Investigation Summary Report #. 5105 <br />COMPLAINT ID: C00054015 Site Location: 9999 S AUSTIN RD <br />Activity Summary <br />Activity Date Recorded by <br />07/08/2021 ER assistance with alleged nitric acid/ sodium hydroxide spill at Forward landfill. MANZO <br />Emailed Natalia Subbotnikova (with EHD) to let her know of the spill at the landfill <br />facility. Site visit with M. Nissim (EHD program coordinator), E. Florido (EHD) to <br />meet with the Landfill Representative and Manteca Fire Department to observe <br />the spill area. Stockpiled drums were observed from a safe distance due to safety <br />concerns, all containers appear to be uprighted, decon area was delineated with <br />cones. Mateca fire reported a small spill area (approximately 1'x1') adjacent to one <br />of the drums. Mateca fire took pH of the liquid on one of the containers, pH was at <br />14. Manteca fire didn't take any pH readings from the reported spill area. <br />According to Ruben Ramirez (with the Forward Landfil), the impacted area will <br />remain evacuated until clean up has been implemented.
