Soil Suitability/ Nitrate Loading Study
Lease Property ■ Acampo, California
December 17, 2021 Terracon Project No. NA217090
Ircerr on
existing residence in the 1980s and shop building in the 1990s. An intermittent stream is apparent
along the northern boundary.
1.3 Existing and Proposed Septic Tank Usage
1.3.1 Existing On -Site Septic Tank Usage
Based on information provided by the client, the existing residence is developed with one septic
system. The site owner indicated the storage and shop buildings are not connected to water or
septic systems.
1.3.2 Site Specific Permit History
Terracon searched the EHD Public Records website and the following EHD permits associated
with the site address were identified.
Table 2.
Summary of Site -Specific Permits.
Septic and well permits are included in Appendix C.
1.3.3 Discussion of On -Site Septic Tank Installation and Repair
Based on a review of the permits, the site is developed with a 1,200 -gallon septic tank with three
leach lines (length not reported) connected to three 3 foot wide by 25 foot deep seepage pits.
There were no septic repair permits identified.
1.3.4 Existing Septic Tank Usage in the Vicinity
In an attempt to determine the septic system density for the vicinity of the site, our office reviewed
a recent aerial photograph of the property available from GoogleEarth TM The vicinity of the site
consists of agricultural land and rural residences. The assumption was made that each
building/cluster of buildings has one septic system. Using this method, we determined there are
approximately 12 septic systems within 0. 10 mile of the site.
Responsive ■ Resourceful ■ Reliable 5
Leach
Seepage Pits,
Permit #
Type /
Tank Size
Leach Line
Line
Parcel Address
Sumps, Filter
(Year)
Location
(Gallons)
Quantity
Length
Beds, Other
(Feet)
81-03
Water
3055 East Forest Lake
(1981)
Quality
---
---
---
---
Road
81-12
Three 3' wide x 25
Liquid Waste
1,200
3
(1981)
deep pits
