Soil Suitability / Nitrate Loading Study <br />Cherokee Memorial Park Vineyard Chapel Addition ■ Lodi, California <br />March 5, 2021 ■ Terracon Project No. NA207102 <br />Responsive ■Resourceful ■Reliable 6 <br />1.1.4 Site Map <br />A detailed site diagram map is included in Appendix A (Exhibit 2). <br />1.2 Present and Past Uses of the Site <br />1.2.1 Past and Present Site Use <br />Terracon reviewed the USGS Historical Topographic Map Explorer, Lodi (1894), Castle (1910) <br />and Lodi (1953) California Quadrangle topographic maps; four historical aerial photographs dated <br />1937, 1952, 1963, and 1975 provided by the San Joaquin County Surveyors Office; and Google <br />Earth aerial images dating between 1993 to the present. The following table is a description of <br />the site based on the source. <br />Table 2. <br />Historical Information. <br />Year Source Description <br />1894 Topo Undeveloped land and/or agricultural land use. <br />1910 Topo Developed with a residence near the southwestern corner and an unimproved <br />road through the center of the parcel with agricultural land use. <br />1937 Aerial Developed with two residential structures and agricultural land. <br />1952 Aerial <br />Developed in phases with multiple structures and landscaping on the southern <br />half of the parcel, the northern half of the parcel consists of agricultural land. <br />1953 Topo identifies site as Cherokee Memorial Park. <br />1953 Topo <br />1963 Aerial <br />1968 Topo <br />1975 Aerial <br />1993 Aerial Cherokee Memorial Park expanded further north with agricultural land or <br />vacant land on the remainder northern portion.2013 Aerial <br />2018 Aerial Developed with the existing Cherokee Memorial Park site features. <br />Based on a review of the historical information, the site appeared to consist of undeveloped and/or <br />agricultural land with a residences(s) from the 1890s through the 1930s and was developed in <br />phases with the Cherokee Memorial Park structures and landscaping from the 1950s to 2018. <br />The Cherokee Memorial Park website indicates the facility was established in May 1940. <br />1.3 Existing and Proposed Septic Tank Usage <br />1.3.1 Existing On-Site Septic Tank Usage <br />Based on information provided by Mr. Scheffer, the existing onsite structures are currently <br />developed with seven septic systems (Septic Systems #1 to #7).
