W. DAVE OLMSTEAD
BROKER -DEVELOPER
P. O. BOX 134
WB CY, CALIF. 83396
L209] 835-4284
December 12, 1984
Mr. Lee Hall, Director
San Joaquin County Local Health District.
P.O. Box 2009
Stockton, California 95201
Dear Lee,
I met with Fritz Redlin in Fresno yesterday and the
following represent his opinions subject to your con-
firmation by contact with him:
1. The water analysis conforms to all State stan-
dards except that it is slightly over standard
in TDS. The water is not a health hazard since
TDS reflects only on the "cosmetics" ie: hard,
taste, odor.
2. The "E" log has validity and it appears that
water to meet State standards is potentially
available if a well with proper sealing is in
place.
3. Page 22, Paragraph F, of Title 22 covers this
situation and allows the Director discretion with
the intent of Title 22.
Based on the above, Fritz would recommend, and I ask you
to do so to allow us to continue our project, the issuance
of a temporary one year permit to operate the present
system on the following conditions:
1. A plan be presented as to alternatives we will
explore to improve TDS.
2. A quarterly report on progress and chemical mon-
itoring of well system.
