We intend
to draw from the acquifers below 463' and as you can see the
TDS is between 1308 - 1354 parts per M. Please note that all
inorganics are well below the State allowable range.
The service district formed for the above projects will
have approximately 110 service connections over a five year
period. The primary reason for the service district was to go
deep for water out of a concern of a few individuals that upper
level water would be contaminated with high bacteria.
TDS in the 1308 - 1354 was unexpected below 463' however
all material we have studied would indicate this not to be a
health hazard. However, there exists an installation that will
substantially lower the TDS as well as other general minerals
and appears very well suited for this situation.
We first considered treating the water at the source but,
in addition to being expensive, really was impractical in this
situation. These are 1-112 acre ranchettes and to treat water
for irrigation, fire requirements, toilet use etc. did not seem
logical. It became obvious that a very samll amount of the
total water used was for human consumption.
- continued -
