Provide a corrective <br /> action statement and supporting documentation to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department <br /> (EHD)within 30 days. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 704 CCR 66273.33(b) Universal Waste Handler failed to properly manage universal waste lamps. <br /> OBSERVATION: The facility is managing universal waste(UW)lamps in a way that does not prevent a release of <br /> waste to the environment. The UW lamps are being stored in open unlabeled containers. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: Title 22 California Code of Regulations section 66273.33 Universal Waste <br /> Management Requirements for Batteries, Lamps, and Mercury-Containing Equipment <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately place all UW lamps into closed, structurally sound containers with labeling: <br /> "universal waste-lamps". Provide a corrective action statement and supporting documentation to the San Joaquin <br /> County Environmental Health Department(EHD)within 30 days. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 708 CCR 66273.35 Universal Waste Handler stored waste onsite greater than one year or storage time unknown. <br /> OBSERVATION: The facility could not demonstrate that universal waste has been stored on site for no longer than <br /> one year. The following UW was stored on-site: one mercury lamp and one fluorescent tube lamp. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: Title 22 California Code of Regulations section 66273.35 Accumulation Time Limits <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Since it could not be demonstrated how long this UW was stored on site, immediately <br /> dispose of this UW in accordance with Title 22 California Code of Regulations.
