Useful Life Remaining of AST AST has approximately 20_years of remaining life based on the condition of
the tank and results from integrity tank testing including steel thickness results (Subsection k1-k10
2. AST Primary vessel construction(describe) 640 gals/Waste Oil/UL#No UL ID plate/UL142-Container/
Made to UL 142 construction standard-at least .123 in. steel thickness per UL Std for Safety for Steel
Aboveground Tanks for Flammable and Combustible Liquids, suitable for containing waste oil.
3. Pickup is at the pump and is stored
with the auick connect hanping in the berm containment when not in use to contain drainage from the supply
hose. Piping is adequately secured, supported & protected against physical damage and excessive stress due
to settlement vibration expansion or contraction & was tested found to be in good condition & not leaking.
4. AST foundation(describe) concrete sub-floor,Base of AST_under UL 142 adequate to withstand the load
of a full tank-Tank-berm system is anchored to floor.
8. AST anchoring (seismic zone/floatation risk)AST is anchored, with (2)'/9 in. in. steel Plates fed into the steel
berm's feet which are welded to the base of the outer shell of berm & 318 in. anchor bolts into the concrete
pad, thru the openings Provided in the berm's anchor flanges. The steel Plates are approximately I '/z in. wide and
8 in. long. There are 2 steel plateN as anchors on the front side of the berm which each have 1318 in. anchor
bolt into the concrete floor. Ripon is a roundshakin low to medium fAult seismic re ion likely to experience
some low to moderate earthquake activity, and with a low to moderate level of frequency and intensity than areas
which are not adjacent to major active faults, which lie directly West of this area. Per CAOES this area is a
moderate to high ground shaking intensity_zone with a low hazard of flooding, and is in a non-saturated zone
which means a low to moderate liquefaction hazard. These anchors are intended to secure the tank during a
seismic event. This toad case is conservative in its anal sis since it ne lects the friction force created by the
weight of the Partially full or full tank. This berm has its rear side against the support wall of the Service Area
building, which serves to further restrict movement in a seismic event. The AST-berm system is located in the
Service Area in the South middle of the Service-ShopArea at the South side of the overall building facility .
The tank is unlikely to move outside the Service-Shop Area in a seismic event or a flooding event.
