The hazardous waste label did <br /> not contain the hazardous properties and physical state of the waste. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: the <br /> words"Hazardous Waste", name and address of generator, hazardous properties, physical state, composition <br /> (contents), accumulation start date <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Corrected on-site at the time of the inspection. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 608 CCR 66266.130 Failed to properly manage used oil filters or fuel filters. <br /> OBSERVATION: Containers of used metal oil or fuel filters out of compliance with the storage rules were observed <br /> on-site. 55 gallons drum of used oil filters found on-site with no labeling.Accumulation start date is unknown. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: <br /> Title 22 California Code of Regulations section 66266.130 Management of Used Oil Filters. <br /> California Health&Safety Code section 25250.22 Fuel Filters <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Label the container with the words"drained used oil filters"or"used gasoline filters", <br /> depending on the contents. Mark the container with an accumulation start date. Dispose of all used filters stored <br /> on-site greater than one year. Used filters not stored, handled and disposed of according to this section are <br /> regulated as hazardous waste.
