<br />SECTION 7 – PAYMENT
<br />7‐1.01 GENERAL
<br />Attention is directed to Section 9 of the Standard Specifications, Section 9, “Payment,” of the
<br />Caltrans Specifications, and these Special Provisions. All measurements and payments for this
<br />work shall conform to all applicable provisions on Section 9 of the Caltrans Specifications.
<br />All materials designated to be removed shall become the property of the Contractor, unless
<br />otherwise noted, and shall be disposed in accordance with local, state, and federal laws and
<br />ordinances.
<br />Full compensation for performing the work in these specifications shall be included in the prices
<br />paid for the various contract items of work and no additional compensation will be allowed,
<br />therefore.
<br />7‐1.02 PAYMENTS
<br />Attention is directed to Sections 9‐1.16, "Progress Payments,” and 9‐1.17, "Payment After
<br />Contract Acceptance,” of the Caltrans Specifications, and Sections 9‐1.06, "Partial Payments,”
<br />and 9‐1.07B, "Final Payment and Claims,” of the Standard Specifications. No partial payment
<br />will be made for any materials that are furnished on hand, but not yet installed or incorporated
<br />in the work.
<br />Full compensation for all labor, equipment, tools, materials, services, travel, and incidentals and
<br />for doing all the work and all other items required to complete the work in conformity with the
<br />Contract Documents will be included in the prices paid for the various contract items of work
<br />and no additional work compensation will be allowed therefore. No other compensation will
<br />be made except for the items listed in the Bid Proposal. Work for which no separate payment
<br />has been provided will be considered as a subsidiary obligation of the Contract.
<br />Schedule of Measurement and Payment:
<br />1. Mobilization, Demobilization, Bonds, Permits, Inspections, and Insurance on all work: By
<br />lump sum. Includes preparatory work and operations, including but not limited to, those
<br />necessary for the movement of personnel, equipment, supplies and incidentals to the
<br />project site; for the establishment of all offices, buildings and other facilities necessary for
<br />work on the project; for the marshaling of equipment; and for all other work and
<br />operations which must be performed or costs incurred prior to beginning work on the
<br />various contract items on the project site, including obtaining the bonds, insurance
<br />policies, and permits required by the Contract Documents for this Project.
<br />2. Sheeting, Shoring, Sloping, Bracing, or Equivalent Method Conforming to Applicable
<br />Safety Standards: By lump sum.
<br />3. Sewer/Leach Line & Sewer Structure Removal: By the lump sum. Includes providing all
<br />labor, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals for excavating, removing waste
<br />materials from the site, and removing the existing sewer/leach line & structures as
<br />indicated on the plans. Includes furnishing, constructing, and removing sheeting, shoring,
<br />sloping, bracing, or equivalent trench support structures and according to the County of
<br />San Joaquin Standards and Specifications.
