INTERNATIONAL PARK OF COMMERCE SPECIFIC PLAN•PHASE 2 JUNE 24, 2022 <br /> The Project will also include improvement to <br /> Schulte Road east from Pavilion Parkway, the <br /> improvement of the half street section of Pavilion <br /> Parkway, and the extension and improvement of <br /> the half street section of Promontory Parkway <br /> along the northern Project boundary. <br /> This system and extension of roadways will <br /> provide efficient movement of traffic within the <br /> Project Area. The street network is designed <br /> and intended to minimize Vehicle Miles Traveled <br /> (VMT). The number, type, location, and design <br /> of local roadways, including intersection spacing, <br /> geometrics and other design elements described <br /> in this Specific Plan are conceptual . The County <br /> may require additional design improvements and <br /> requirements based on the analysis of the traffic <br /> study which may include additional right-turn <br /> lanes, acceleration, and deceleration lanes, and <br /> extended left-turn pockets, among other items. <br /> - ' The network of roads will provide for multiple <br /> users including pedestrians, bicycles, vehicles, <br /> trucks, and public transportation. Pedestrian <br /> improvements include sidewalks on both sides of <br /> all streets, and accessible pedestrian crossing at <br /> signals. Class 1 bicycle paths have been included <br /> on all major circulation streets within the Project <br /> Area to encourage and allow for alternatives to <br /> motor vehicles and to connect with the Phase 1 <br /> of International Park of Commerce existing bicycle <br /> path network. The Project Area roadway system <br /> will also facilitate use of public transportation <br /> facilities by providing bus pull outs and shelters for <br /> passengers offering shade and protection during <br /> winter weather. Such improvements shall be <br /> implemented through the Site Approval process <br /> required for each phase. <br /> CHAPTER 6 <br /> 6-2 <br />
