Unrelated <br /> random placement of plant materials shall be <br /> avoided. <br /> • All portions of a site not devoted to buildings, <br /> structures, parking, outdoor storage or paving <br /> should be landscaped, to the extent feasible. <br /> g Vit" � Landscapes should be designed to reach a <br /> reasonable level of maturity within five years. <br /> • Large scale buildings should be screened by <br /> appropriately scaled planting. <br /> • Trees shall be provided at a ratio of an average <br /> of at least one tree for every 1,000 square feet <br /> Climate Adapted Grasses of landscape/hardscape area, not including <br /> required parking lot trees. <br /> • Trees shall be installed at a minimum size of <br /> 24" box . <br /> • Parking lot trees should be provided at a <br /> minimum of one tree per S spaces. Trees <br /> �i <br /> may be clustered to define circulation routes, <br /> " frame site views, and reinforce freeway edge <br /> planting. Large scale, high branching shade <br /> e' trees able to withstand strong winds should be <br /> used in all parking areas. <br /> • Vegetated bioswales are encouraged in <br /> parking lot planting islands to treat on-site <br /> - stormwater and provide visual relief within the <br /> hardscape. <br /> Provide Landscaping in Open Areas • No large landscape areas are to be landscaped <br /> with solely native grasses. <br /> b.
