Prior to the issuance of demolition permits for County Building Official <br /> existing on-site structures,the project proponent <br /> shall provide a site assessment,which determines <br /> whether any structures to be demolished contain <br /> lead-based paint.If such paint is found,all loose <br /> and peeling paint shall be removed and disposed of <br /> by a licensed and certified lead paint removal <br /> contractor,in accordance with local,state, and <br /> federal regulations. The demolition contractorshall <br /> be informed that all paint on the buildings shall be <br /> considered as containing lead. The contractor shall <br /> take appropriate precautions to protect his/her <br /> workers,the surrounding community,and to <br /> dispose of construction waste containing lead paint <br /> in accordance with local,state,and federal <br /> regulations subject to the County Building Official <br /> approval. <br /> V11-5. Prior to initiation of mining activities, the applicant <br /> shall ensure all contractors and employees County Environmental Health <br /> immediately control the source of any leak and Department <br /> immediately containing any spill utilizing <br /> appropriate spill containment and CVRWQCB <br /> countermeasures. Contaminated media shall be <br /> collected and disposed of at an offsite facility <br /> approved to accept such media, as approved by <br /> the County Environmental Health Department.
