Includes design drawing showing the plan view and cross section view of the Eljen
GSF system.
3. Shows all the design calculations.
4. Sizing of the leachfield shall be based on the more restrictive loading rate when
comparing soil texture/structure versus soil percolation rate.
QUALITY ASSURANCE
1. A pre-construction meeting will be scheduled between Environmental Health
Services staff, the design consultant, and the installer.
2. An inspection of the Eljen GSF system will take place during installation. At this
inspection all aspects of the septic tank, D-box (if required), trenches, system
slope, GSF module layout, specified sand sieve analysis report, vent location (if
required) and site drainage will be checked. If utilizing pressure dosing, all aspects
of pressure dose installation including discharge heights, pump alarms and control
panel will be inspected.
3. Final cover inspection will be conducted after the septic tank and the trenches have
been backfilled. The leachfield cover soil shall be seeded and graded per the
approved plans.
4. A treatment system may be considered to "fail"when Placer County Environmental
Health determines it cannot reliably perform the conveyance, treatment and/or
dispersal function for which it was designed and approved. Causative problems
with the treatment system may include structural problems, reliability issues,
maintenance deficiencies, or noncompliance with the effluent specifications
contained in the review package.
MINIMUM SCOPE OF WORK FOR OPERATION, MONITORING AND MAINTENANCE (OM&M)
SERVICE AGREEMENTS
1.
