COUNTY oe
or
Placer
HEALTH & HUMAN SERVICES
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTII
5. Eljen GSF system can be approved on sites with percolation rates greater than 6-
minutes per inch and less than 60-minutes per inch without pressure dosing. Sites
with percolation rates of 1-minute per inch to less than 6-minutes per inch and sites
with percolation rates greater than 60-minutes per inch and less than 240-minutes
per inch will require pressure dosing. Pressure dose design shall comply with
Placer County's pressure distribution system requirements.
6. Percolation tests are required on all lots. Sizing of the system shall be based on
the more restrictive loading rate of the soil texture/structure versus percolation rate.
7. If a pump tank is required for a special design, the pump tank requirements shall
comply with Placer County's pump system requirements.
8. Designated leachfield areas for existing lots with no approved minimum useable
sewage disposal areas shall demonstrate adequate area for gravel trenches or
subsurface drip tubing prior to septic system construction permit approval.
CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL
1. The owner of the property will enter into a License Agreement for Alternative
Systems with the County of Placer.
2. The owner of the property will enter into a contractual agreement for provision of
Operation, Monitoring and Maintenance (OM&M) with an Eljen GSF system
certified service provider.
3. The owner of the property will record the requirement for ongoing OM&M on the
property title.
4. The absence of Eljen GSF trained personnel to install or provide maintenance may
be grounds to suspend further issuance of any new construction permits.
DESIGN REVIEW
The design consultant may propose the Eljen GSF system as part of the site evaluation
approval process or for sites that meet the criteria and may have been approved for other
supplemental treatment systems.
The design consultant must submit a proposal that:
1. Is sized appropriately for waste strength, design flow and soil percolation
characteristics in accordance with Environmental Health requirements and Eljen
GSF system design criteria.
Environmental Health ■ 3091 County Center Drive, Suite 180■ Auburn, CA 95603
(530) 745-2300 Office • (530) 745-2370 fax ■ environmental health@placer.ca.gov
0 in 12 f
