Called and spoke to Anthony
Scarper (209-941-5135), Lathrop-Manteca Fire Department Captain, who stated
he was no longer on-site, but the fire department plugged the diesel tank stopping
the leak, and Walgreens employees had put down kitty litter to start absorbing the
spill. Anthony stated the spill appeared to only impact asphalt, but wasn't certain if
any storm drains had been impacted. Called and spoke to Allen Edwards
(262-939-9541), CPC Logistics truck driver, who stated he was waiting for his
truck to be towed, and referred me to his boss, Yves Thomas (916-205-0456).
Called and left a voice message for Yves. Called and spoke to Garth Zindel
(209-986-9911), Walgreens employee, who stated he was no longer on-site and
was unaware if Walgreens compliance was doing anything to clean-up the spill.
Received a call back from Yves who stated an environmental clean-up crew has
been hired and Walgreens is the responsible party of the spill. Yves provided
Walgreens billing address. Provided Elena Manzo, Ld Sr REHS on-call inspector,
the complaint information. Elena to visit the spill location during after-hours.
51 05. rpt Page 1 of 3
