Dispatch gave me spill MURO <br />inforamtion and the Cal OES <br />Called 888-877-7267 for follow up. Spoke to Caleb Johnson (UPRR) <br />Called Mike Algots (UPRR) 916-580-9999 <br />Called Michelle Henry (EHD) <br />Called Mike Algots to ask if it is known whether it was released on soil or asphalt. <br />He said it was released on ballast. <br />Called Derek Smith (Patriot) 916-347-8724 <br />6:52 AM received text from Derek Smith (Patriot) letting me know that they will be <br />leaving Flag City and arriving at 2200 Harbor St in approximately 30 minutes. <br />6:54 AM left to 2200 Harbor St. Arrived at 7:30 AM. Met with Derek Smith. He <br />pointed out the diesel spill area which was marked with one cone. I observed the <br />tracks to have diesel over the ballast in an area of about 7 by 8 feet. The plan was <br />to use a guzzler for the removal of contaminated ballast. Then, they would <br />examine the extent of diesel saturation. <br />7:30 AM End <br />5105.rpt Page 1 of 3
