Turner Road, Lodi, CA 95241 <br /> Dear Ms. Jones: <br /> Cook Environmental Services, Inc. (CES)was retained by USA Waste of California,Inc.to assess <br /> one above ground storage tank (AST)that contains used oil at the Central Valley Waste Services <br /> transfer facility located at 1333 E. Turner Road in Lodi, California. The AST has a volume of <br /> 1,000 gallons and is stored next to the vehicle maintenance facility. An inspection of the AST was <br /> conducted by Tian Cook of CES on January 19,2022. The purpose of the inspection was to assess <br /> the current physical condition of the AST system and to gather information required for a <br /> Hazardous Waste Tank Assessment pursuant to 22 CCR §66265.192(k). For ease of review, the <br /> Assessment is organized in the same order as the checklist provided in 22CCR §66265.192(k). <br /> • Tank description, configuration, and gross capacity 122 CCR §66265.192(k)(1)): <br /> The AST is a shop-fabricated box type tank manufactured by Containment Solutions and <br /> is a Lube Cube model LCAA 101 MDSOOO. The outside dimensions are 130" L x 35" W x <br /> 66" H. Tank dimensions are also shown on the design drawing in Attachment A. The <br /> tank is in the wash bay next to the vehicle maintenance facility. The wash bay is a covered <br /> structure that prevents rainfall from contacting the AST. The AST is UL 142 listed and <br /> meets the NFPA 30 Standard. The double-wall steel AST has an operating capacity of <br /> 1,400-gallons. <br /> • Design standard if available to which tank and ancillary equipment was designed (22 CCR <br /> §66265.192(k)(2)) <br /> The AST is constructed and listed in accordance with Underwriters Laboratories, Inc., UL <br /> 142, utilizing steel inner and outer tanks. <br /> ■ Material of construction f 22 CCR §66265.192(k)(2)(a)I <br /> Primary and secondary tanks are constructed of mild steel. <br /> • Material thickness and method used to determine thickness f2 CCR§66265.192(k)(2)(b)) <br /> Primary and secondary tanks are 10 gauge (0,1345 inches).
