SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY <br />Introduction <br />Live Oak GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (Live Oak) was contracted by David Sasaki to conduct <br />a Soil Suitability Study and Nitrate Loading Study for the property located at 5800 East <br />Acampo Road, Acampo, California. <br />The Soil Suitability Study and Nitrate Loading Study are combined under this report <br />cover and presented as two sections of this report. The formatting of the report has <br />been designed to follow the recommendations of the San Joaquin County <br />Environmental Health Department as described in its Soil Suitability Study <br />Requirements Checklist and Nitrate Loading Study Requirements Checklist. <br />The Soil Suitability Study was conducted to determine whether the soils are suitable for <br />use with a septic system. The study was performed according to the requirements of <br />Section 9-1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development code. <br />Proposed Develoument <br />Mr. Sasaki indicated that a new three-bedroom home will be constructed on the Site. <br />He anticipates that the vineyard will be removed and replanted with orchard. <br />Site Description <br />The Site is defined as Assessor's Parcel Number (APN) 017-320-15, 2.00 acres in size <br />(Plate 1). The Site is located at 5800 East Acampo Road, Acampo. <br />A primary residence with a domestic well is currently located on the Site; the remainder <br />of the property is vineyard (Plate 2). <br />The elevation of the Site, according to a United States Geological Survey topographic <br />map, is approximately 63 feet above mean sea level. The Site is relatively flat (Plate 3). <br />According to the San Joaquin County Community Development Department <br />(www.co.san-joaquin.ca.us), the Site is zoned AG -40, General Agriculture with a <br />minimum parcel size of 40 acres. This zoning designation "is established to preserve <br />agricultural lands for the continuation of commercial agriculture enterprises." <br />LOGE 2212 Page 1 <br />
