The UW aerosol can storage containers are: <br /> -One 55-gallon container partially full of waste aerosol cans in the Vehicle Repair area was not labeled "Universal <br /> Waste-Aerosol cans". <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: California Health &Safety Code section 25201.16 <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately label the containers as required for universal hazardous wastes. Provide a <br /> corrective action statement and supporting documentation to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health <br /> Department(EHD)within 30 days. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 712 CCR 66273.34 Universal Waste Handler failed to label universal waste. <br /> OBSERVATION: The facility has not labeled their universal waste(UW)as required by this section. The following <br /> universal waste was observed on-site with incomplete labeling: <br /> -One partially full container of E-waste was not labeled "Universal Waste-Electronic Devices". <br /> -Several boxes of waste lamps were not labeled"Universal Waste-Lamps". <br /> -Several containers of waste batteries were not labeled"Universal Waste-Batteries". <br /> -Waste batteries not in containers were not labeled "Universal Waste-Batteries". <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: Title 22 California Code of Regulations section 66273.34 Labeling/Marking <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately label the UW as required by this section.Various UW can be appropriately <br /> labeled: "UW-batteries", "Universal Waste-Mercury-Containing Equipment", "Universal Waste-Lamps"or <br /> "Universal Waste-Electronic Devices". Provide a corrective action statement and supporting documentation to the <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department(EHD)within 30 days. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> 715 CCR 66273.39 Universal Waste Handler failed to keep three years records of each shipment of universal waste. <br /> OBSERVATION: Copies of universal waste (UW)disposal records for the last three years were not found on site. <br /> Facility could not provide shipment records for Electronic Universal Waste(E-waste). <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: Title 22 California Code of Regulations section 66273.39.Tracking Universal Waste <br /> Shipments <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately locate a copy of all UW disposal records for the last three years and <br /> maintain them on site.
