SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY <br />Introduction <br />Live Oak GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (Live Oak) was contracted by Jorge Sandoval to <br />conduct a Soil Suitability Study and Nitrate Loading Study for his property located at <br />25130 North Pearl Road, Acampo, California. <br />The Soil Suitability Study and Nitrate Loading Study are combined under this report <br />cover and presented as two sections of this report. The formatting of the report has <br />been designed to follow the recommendations of the San Joaquin County <br />Environmental Health Department as described in its Soil Suitability Study <br />Requirements Checklist and Nitrate Loading Study Requirements Checklist. <br />The Soil Suitability Study was conducted to determine whether the soils are suitable for <br />use with a septic system. The study was performed in accordance with the <br />requirements of Section 9-1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development code. <br />Proposed Development <br />A new three-bedroom home will be placed on the Site. <br />Site Description <br />The Site is defined as Assessor's Parcel Number (APN) 007-250-18, approximately <br />4.95 acres in size. It is located at 25130 North Pearl Road, Acampo, California (Plate <br />1). The additional address of 25118 North Pearl Road refers to the existing mobile <br />home on the Site. <br />A four-bedroom house, a shop, and a three-bedroom mobile home are located on the <br />Site. The remainder of the Site is open land (Plate 2). <br />The elevation of the Site, according to a United States Geological Survey topographic <br />map, is approximately 107 to 108 feet above mean sea level. The Site is relatively flat <br />(Plate 3). <br />According to the San Joaquin County District Viewer (sjmap.org), the Site is zoned AL- <br />5, Limited Agriculture with a minimum parcel size of five acres. This zoning designation <br />"is intended to recognize and preserve areas that contain existing concentrations of <br />small-scale agricultural operations and dwellings." <br />LOGE 2219 Page 1
