Austin Road, Manteca <br />APN 22802048, SR0085142 <br />The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) has reviewed Onsite <br />Wastewater Treatment System (OVVTS) for the above noted location, and has the following <br />comments for your consideration. <br />Based on the information provided, the EHD concurs with the proposed engineer design septic <br />system with the following conditions: <br />The engineered OVVTS shall be installed according to the designs found in the revised <br />plans received April 21, 2022, obtain a residential engineered OVVTS permit (SJC OVVTS <br />Standard 2.1). <br />The engineered OVVTS shall be operated and maintained pursuant to the Operations <br />and Maintenance Requirements found in the revised site plans received April 21, 2022 <br />(SJC OVVTS Standard1.12.1). <br />An Annual Operating Permit is required for this engineered septic system. Annual <br />sampling for Nitrate (as Nitrogen) is required in the influent and effluent sides of the <br />treatment system; sampling results shall be submitted to EHD when they become <br />available. Sampling shall be done by a state certified laboratory. (SJC OWTS Standard <br />2.10) <br />The onsite domestic well shall be sampled annually for Nitrate (as Nitrogen); the results <br />shall be submitted to EHD when they become available. The samples shall be analyzed <br />by a state certified laboratory. (SJC OVVTS Standard 2.10) <br />Audible and visible alarms are required in the pump tank. The alarms must be set to <br />signal at the "time-to-pump" and "exceeding reserve storage volume" levels. The audible <br />and visual alarms must be located in an area where they are easily seen and heard. <br />Testing of the audible and visual alarm is required before final approval. (SJC OVVTS <br />Standard 10.5) <br />Before final approval of the OVVTS permit, EHD shall witness the hydraulic loading test <br />(squirt test).
