Source: Ordinance No. 2797. 10 Section 307, Paragraphs -'(a) (c), and (e) of the UBC, 1979 Edition, are hereby amended to read: (a) Use.or Occupancy. No building or structure in any Group shall be used or oc- cupied, and no change in the existing occu- pancy classification of a building or struc- ture or portion thereof shall be made until all the required inspections, including the final inspections, have been made by the Building Inspection Department, and a Cer- tificate of Occupancy has been issued by the District Health Officer. EXCEPTION: Buildings of M Occupancy. (c) Certificate Issued. After final inspection, when it is found that the build- ing or structure complies with the provisions of this Code, and other laws which are en- forced by the Building Inspection Department, the Building Official shall so notify the District Health Officer so that he may issue a Certificate of Occupancy which shall con- tain the following: 1. The building permit number. 2. The address of the building. 3. The name and address of the owner. 4. A description of that portion of the building for which the certificate is issued. SECTION 8-1008. DISTRICT HEAIITH OFFICER DEFINED --AMENDMENT OF SECTION 405. Section 405 of the UBC, 1979 Edition, is amended hereby by adding thereto the definition of District Health Officer to read: DISTRICT HEALTH OFFICER means the Dis- trict Health Officer of the San Joaquin Local Health District. STRUCTURE ection 407 onyyisyamended hereby by adding the definition of Floating Home or Structure to read: FLOATING HOME OR STRUCTURE means any structure designed to be used or occupied on or about waterways as.either a permanent or temporary place of human habitation for either private use or commercial use, re- gardless of its present water -borne or land - borne state, but excluding any water craft constructed and used primarily for trans- portation purposes. FLOATING HOME OR STRUC- TURE does not include any vessel, craft or barge which is under the jurisdiction of the State Division of Small Crafts and Harbors. In applying the provisions of the Build- ing Code, floating homes or structures shall be construed to mean "building" as that term is defined in Chapter 4, Section 403, of the UBC, 1979 Edition.
