August 159 1n,t4
To Whom It Play Concern:
I live in the Santos Ranch Subdivision west of Tracy. In
March of 1983 the drains in my home became very sluggish.
By March 19th they were barely draining and I could hear
'!gurgling" sounds :coming up from the shower mdrainpticltank.
celled D. A. Parrish and Sons, Inc. to pump y
They pumped approximately 3,000 gallons out of my 1,200
gallon septic tank. ,later from the leach field drained
back in to the tank as fast as they could pump it out. 'rle
decided to stop pumping when the truck became full. within
a couple of hours the septic tank was full to the top with
water that had drained in from the leach field. The back
lawn, which is part of the leach field, was flooded with
3 to 4 inches of water.
'tie covered the tank back up with dirt but for a few weeks
septic water continued to seep up to the top of the ground.
:When I washed clothes, soap bubbles would appear on the
lawn. An area of lawn died where the septic water sat.
_
Eight trees also died that sat in the septic water.
Eventually, as spring came, the tank appeared to be function-
ing normally. riowever, since that time, I have had my water
tested by California ':Jat.'r I.abs•, Inc. of :odesto, Oa]if..
Y
For nitrates.
