W
August 14 1984
To Whom it May Concern:
" In March of 1983, 1 called Parrish 8 `ons to pump my septic tank.
I had sewage backing into the shower of the master bathroom, and
overflowing of the toilet in the front bathroom. As my septic tank
was being pumped the man doing the job said that water from the
leach field was flowing back into the tank as fast as he could pump
it out He said that all he could do was to fill the truck and hope for
the best. For the next two months the area over the septic tank had
constant standing water. It wasn't until June before the bathtub
emptied at a normal speed, the toilets worked right, and the gurgling
round in the laundry sink didn't occur each time water was empt+dd
into the septic tank
.- Last year about mid December my drains began to empty slowly and
the gurgling sound returned to my laundry sink. I believe an
exceptionally dry spring and careful water conservation by the whole
` family prevented another failure.
It is now the middle of August and my leach field shows four green
strips against a background of dry unirrigated soil, My last water
test showed a 68.5 nitrate level.
SIncerIy, QIC4
Andrea Schlueter
23007 Joaquin Ct.
Tracy, California
95376
