5.0 SOIL PROFILE INFORMATION SECTION 5.1 Site map showing the location, with dimensions, of the soil profiled pit on the parcel. See Appendix. 5.2 Description of soil profile pit including depth and dimensions. The shallow test hole was prepared per County Standards. The hole was excavated to a depth of 42 inches and 6 inches in diameter. The hole was backfilled with 2 inches of "pea gravel." 5.3 Description of soil lithology as noted from test pit by appropriate professional using industry standard protocol. The Soil in this area is classified as Tokay Fine Sandy Loam and Tujunga Loamy Sand as stated in the Soil Survey of San Joaquin County, as provided by the United States Department of Agriculture, Soil Conservation Service. 5.4 Discussion of soil lithology as related to future onsite septic uses: The Tujunga Loamy Sand has a permeability that is rapid. The Tokay Fine Sandy Loam has a permeability that is moderately rapid. 6.0 PERCOLATION TEST INFORMATION SECTION 6.1 Site map showing the location, with concise and accurate dimensions of the percolation test holes on the parcel: See Appendix. 6.2 The minimum number of shallow and deep percolation tests were performed for each parcel: One shallow percolation test hole was prepared on the parcel. 6.3 Description of the date, time and protocol used to prepare the test hole, including depth and dimensions of hole, preparation of hole, and depth of water used to presoak (minimum 12 inches): The shallow test hole was excavated to a depth of 42 inches and 6 inches in diameter and backfilled with 2 inches of "pea gravel" in accordance with San Joaquin County Standards. The shallow test hole was prepared by Tristan Hartung of Dillon & Murphy on October 6, 2021 at 7:30 a.m. On October 7, 2021 at 7:30 a.m. the 24 hour presoak period was started. The hole was filled with 12 inches of water over the gravel at this time. 6.4 Description of the date, time and condition of the test hole after the 24-hour soak period (hole still intact, hole dry, preparation of hole, and depth of water used to presoak (minimum 12 inches): On October 8, 2021 at 7:30 a.m. the shallow test hole was dry. Six inches of water was added to the hole and the hole was deemed suitable to continue. The shallow test passed the minimum County requirements. 6.5 The test conformed to SJC Policy EH 02-02 (correct depth, diameter, 2" gravel, 6" water refill, correct readings recorded). The percolation test conformed to San Joaquin County Policy EHD 02-02.
