Since spill response must I <br /> begin immediately after a spill is discovered, it is important that all employees who may <br /> 3 <br /> contact a spill are familiar with this contingency plan, prior to responding to a spill. <br /> i <br /> 1 <br /> I <br /> The company has a training program for facility personnel, as required by the hazardous <br /> material/waste and SPCC regulations. Facility employees will be instructed on all aspects of I <br /> proper oil-filled equipment operation, maintenance of equipment for prevention of <br /> hazardous material/waste and oil discharges, discharge procedure protocols, general facility <br /> operations, applicable pollution control laws, rules, and regulations and the contents of the ; <br /> hazardous material/waste and SPCC Plans. Employees will also be trained in safety and ' <br /> cleanup procedures. Training is conducted on an annual basis and to new employees prior <br /> I <br /> to beginning work, <br /> Effective planning will reduce potential emergencies and minimize damage to the Human ' <br /> health and the environment.
