1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> On behalf of Lowe's Home Centers, LLC (Lowe's), Aptim Government Solutions, LLC (APTIM) was <br /> contracted to provide environmental consulting services during the removal of two 5,000-gallon diesel <br /> aboveground storage tanks (ASTs), associated underground piping, and two fuel dispensers from the <br /> former Orchard Distribution Center, located at 2650 North MacArthur Drive in Tracy,California (Figure 1). <br /> Following the removal of the ASTs,APTIM collected and arranged for the analysis of soil samples from the <br /> former underground piping trench. This report discusses the AST removal activities completed in <br /> compliance with local and state regulatory requirements in February 2021. <br /> 1.1 Site Description <br /> The former Orchard Distribution Center is located in a primarily commercial area of Tracy, California.Two <br /> 5,000-gallon ASTs were located to the north side of the Former Orchard Distribution Center building in <br /> the front portion of the property and were used to supply diesel fuel for company trucks (Figure 2). <br /> 1.2 Permits <br /> Prior to initiation of AST removal activities, permit applications were submitted to the City of Tracy <br /> Building Department (CTBD), South San Joaquin County Fire Authority (SSJCFA), and San Joaquin Valley <br /> Unified Air Pollution Control District (SJVUAPCD). Upon receipt of the permits, the CTBD, SSJCFA, and <br /> SJVUAPCD were notified of the date of the planned removal.
