The following is an itemized list of hazardous waste violations that have not been <br /> addressed for ERIC D HANDEL as of July 13 , 2022 . <br /> Open violations from May 06 , 2022 inspection <br /> Violation #101 - Managed a hazardous waste without an identification number. <br /> OBSERVATION This business does not have a hazardous waste ID number in the California Department of Toxic <br /> Substances Control ( DTSC) database . <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: A hazardous waste generator shall not treat, store , dispose of, transport or offer for <br /> transportation , hazardous waste without having received an Environmental Protection Agency ( EPA) Identification <br /> ( ID ) Number . A State EPA ID number is required for generators of less than 100 kg RCRA hazardous waste per <br /> month , less than one kg of acutely hazardous waste per month or any amount of non -RCRA hazardous waste. ID <br /> numbers are unique to a business and site location . <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION : Go to the DTSC web site at https : //dtsc. ca . gov/apply-for- hazardous-waste-epa- id -number/ <br /> to obtain an ID number . Immediately apply for your ID number and submit evidence to the San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Department within 30 days . <br /> ❑ This violation was corrected ❑ This violation will be corrected by ( date) : <br /> ❑ Supporting documents included <br /> Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation : <br /> Violation #301 - Facility not maintained to minimize the release of a hazardous waste . <br /> OBSERVATION One 55 gallon metal drum of used oil was observed to have staining and build-up of oil on the top <br /> and sides of the drum . <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: A hazardous waste generator must maintain and operate its facility to minimize the <br /> possibility of a fire , explosion , or any unplanned sudden or non-sudden release of hazardous waste or hazardous <br /> waste constituents to air, soil , or surface water which could threaten human health or the environment. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION : Immediately transfer all hazardous wastes into containers that are in good condition . <br /> Manage the waste according to Title 22 California Code of Regulations for hazardous waste.
