Burlington, Environmental, Inc. located at 5901 Christie <br />Ave, Suite 501, Emeryville, Ca 94608, contact person, <br />Janice Oldemeyer, telephone number, (510) 420-7910 will <br />collect, sort, package and manifest the waste brought to the <br />site, in environmentally safe and appropriately labeled <br />containers in accordance with Department of Transportation <br />(DOT) standards. <br />3. All HHW collected may be removed from the collection site <br />by the end of the day by registered haulers to appropriate <br />permitted treatment, storage or disposal facilities. <br />Recyclable wastes such as motor oil, coolant, lead -acid <br />batteries, and latex paint shall be transported to <br />authorized recyclers as indicated in the variance <br />application. <br />4. Only recyclable motor oil, latex paint and antifreeze will <br />be bulked during hours when wastes are being accepted at the <br />collection facility and all bulking will occur in secured <br />area away from the receiving area. <br />5. Traffic control at the collection site shall be monitored by <br />facility staff. Participants of the collection will remain <br />in their vehicles at all times. Collection personnel will <br />be responsible for removing the hazardous waste from the <br />participants' vehicle. <br />6. Burlington Environmental emergency coordinators will be on <br />site to provide for effective response in the event of a <br />release, fire, explosion or spill. Names of coordinators <br />and alternates shall be submitted to the Department at least <br />one week prior to the event and posted on-site during the <br />event. <br />7. Emergency response equipment with personnel trained in the <br />use of that equipment will be on the site at all times <br />during the collection event. <br />8. Burlington Environmental will maintain primary responsibility <br />for all financial liability related to this operation. <br />9. San Joaquin County shall assure that all waste is removed <br />from the facility and all contaminated facility structures, <br />equipment and soil are either decontaminated or removed <br />within 144 hours after termination of the session. <br />
