MANIFESTING AND TRANSPORTATION <br />Immediately following the collection, sorting, and packaging <br />of all waste and decontamination of the site, all waste shall be <br />properly manifested and transported by a registered hazardous <br />waste transporter within 144 hours of the end of the program to <br />an authorized and appropriate hazardous waste storage, treatment, <br />or disposal facility. <br />GENERATOR STATUS <br />The agency sponsor is considered to be the generator of all <br />wastes received at this collection program. The granting of this <br />variance does not relieve the agency sponsor of any <br />responsibilities associated with hazardous waste generation or <br />any liability associated with the management of the waste. <br />ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS <br />► All operations shall be conducted to minimize potential harm <br />to operators, members of the public, transporters, and the <br />environment. <br />► All waste received shall be handled in accordance with all <br />applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations. <br />► The program shall be conducted as described in the <br />application packet submitted to this Department, and in <br />accordance with the procedures and conditions contained in <br />this variance determination. <br />► This Department shall be notified immediately upon discovery <br />of any situation not addressed in the aforementioned <br />documents. <br />► Personnel from the Department shall be allowed to enter all <br />areas of the waste collection site, including segregation, <br />packaging and handling areas, for monitoring and inspection. <br />This variance may be amended or revoked by the Department at <br />any time. <br />This variance applies only to the hazardous waste facility <br />permitting requirements of Health and Safety Code, Section 25201 <br />and Division 4.5, Chapter 20, Title 22, CCR. <br />
