The following is an itemized list of hazardous waste violations that have not been <br /> addressed for PACIFIC TOWING as of July13 , 2022 . <br /> Open violations from May 16, 2022 inspection <br /> Violation #605 - Failed to completely label containers or portable tanks of hazardous waste . <br /> OBSERVATION Hazardous waste containers were observed on-site without hazardous waste labeling . The <br /> containers were : 6 containers of paint observed in a 20 foot container located outside ( behind the shop) . Per owner <br /> Casey Haynes , the paint will be disposed of as hazardous waste . <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information : the <br /> words " Hazardous Waste" , name and address of generator, hazardous properties , physical state , composition <br /> (contents) , accumulation start date <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION : Immediately label the containers as required for hazardous waste . Provide a corrective <br /> action statement and supporting documentation to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department <br /> ( EHD ) within 30 days . <br /> ❑ This violation was corrected ❑ This violation will be corrected by ( date ) : <br /> ❑ Supporting documents included <br /> Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation : <br /> Violation #608 - Failed to properly manage used oil filters or fuel filters . <br /> OBSERVATION Containers of used metal oil filters out of compliance with the storage rules were observed on-site . <br /> The following used metal oil filter container was on -site : one black metal 55 gallon drum did not have labeling and <br /> has been on -site for more than one year. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: <br /> Title 22 California Code of Regulations section 66266 . 130 Management of Used Oil Filters , <br /> California Health & Safety Code section 25250 . 22 Fuel Filters <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION : Immediately drain all metal oil and fuel filters of free-flowing liquid , store them in closed , <br /> rainproof containers . Label the container with the words " drained used oil filters" or " used gasoline filters" , <br /> depending on the contents . Mark the container with an accumulation start date . Dispose of all used filters stored <br /> on -site greater than one year. Used filters not stored , handled and disposed of according to this section are <br /> regulated as hazardous waste . Provide a corrective action statement, disposal records and supporting <br /> documentation to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department ( EHD ) within 30 days . <br /> ❑ This violation was corrected ❑ This violation will be corrected by ( date) : <br /> ❑ Supporting documents included <br /> Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation : <br /> Page 2 of 2 <br />
