A. SITE SET-UP <br />PHILIP ENVIRONMENTAL and subcontractor personnel will set up <br />the site the day before the first day of collection, if at all possible. According <br />to the Site Layout map, the following areas will be prepared: <br />Waste Handling Area <br />a. Lay 6 mm plastic and polyurethane tarps on the ground where the <br />waste handling area is going to be; <br />b. Put up canopies; <br />C. Cover labpack and sorting tables with 6 mm plastic; <br />d. Set tables, berms, carts, tools, and such; <br />e. Unload drums and superfine absorbent; <br />F Set up traffic cones and signs <br />g. Attach wind directional streamers to canopy,_, <br />2. First Aid Station and Decontamination Area <br />Equip this area with: <br />a. Table covered with 6 mm plastic <br />b. First-aid kit <br />C. Emergency eyewash/shower <br />d.. Soaps <br />C. Wipe towels (yellow spill clean-up pads) <br />f. Scrub brushes <br />or Plastic washtubs to be filled with fresh water everyday <br />(1 for washing, 2 for rinsing) <br />h. Empty open -head drum for contaminated Personal <br />Protective Equipment (PPE) <br />i. New PPE - gloves, tyvek suits, respirator cartridges, <br />safety glasses, ear plugs <br />Spill Clean-up Stations <br />Each of these will have: <br />a. 1 push broom and 1 hand broom <br />b. 1 scoop shovel and 1 dust pan <br />C. 1 bundle of ziplock bags <br />d. water -absorbent and oil -absorbent pads <br />e. 1 bag of superfine absorbent <br />f 1 fire extinguisher <br />g. 1 empty open -head drum for contaminated material <br />4. Other areas <br />As directed by the Site Supervisor. <br />11-3 <br />
