The existing private water wells shall be tested for the chemical Dibromochloropropane (DBCP) and <br />nitrates with the results submitted to the Environmental Health Department prior to issuance of <br />building permit(s). Samples are to be taken and analyzed by a State-approved laboratory (San <br />Joaquin County Development Title, Section 9-1115.7). <br />6. Submit Water Provision Declaration form to the Environmental Health Department for review. <br />7. The existing well must be repaired under permit and inspection by the Environmental Health <br />Department (San Joaquin County Development Title, Section 9-1115.4(e)) as follows: <br />Install sanitary seal. <br />Install cement surface seal around the well casing to protect the well casing sufficiently and <br />the integrity of well grout. <br />Raise well casing 12 inches above ground level. <br />Provide sample tap between the well head and the pressure tank. <br />8. Install an approved back-flow prevention device on the water supply system(s) (California Code of <br />Regulation, Title 17, Section 7603). <br />9. Any geotechnical drilling shall be conducted under permit and inspection by The Environmental <br />Health Department (San Joaquin County Development Title, Section 9-1115.3 and 9-1115.6).
