All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and have the potential to cause foodborne illness. All major violations must be corrected immediately. Non-compliance may warrant immediate closure of <br />the food facility. <br /> #1 Demonstration of Knowledge <br />OBSERVATIONS: Current food manager’s certificate was not available during the inspection. Provide a copy of a valid 5 - <br />year food manager's certificate to lbaker@sjgov.org within 14 days. (REPEAT) <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: All food employees shall have adequate knowledge of and be trained in food safety as it relates to their <br />assigned duties. (113947) Food facilities that prepare, handle or serve non-prepackaged potentially hazardous food, shall have an <br />employee who has passed an approved food safety certification examination. (113947-113947.1) Any food handler hired after June 1, <br />2011 shall obtain a Food Handler Card within 30 days (113948). <br /> #33 Nonfood Contact Surfaces Clean <br />OBSERVATIONS: The mop sink was observed with a dirty rag and black build-up. Clean today and maintain clean. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: All nonfood contact surfaces of utensils and equipment shall be clean. (114115 (c)) <br /> #35 Equipment/Utensils Approved and in Good Repair <br />OBSERVATIONS: The inside bottom and outside doors of the two door prep reach-in was observed with food debris and <br />splatters. Clean and sanitize within 3 days. <br />The top of the Helados Guadalajara ice cream freezer was observed dusty. Clean and sanitize today. <br />The doors and service side surfaces of the meat case were observed with build-up. Clean and sanitize within 3 days. <br />The three door Beverage Air freezer reach in was observed with a broken handle on the middle door. Repair/replace handle <br />within 2 weeks. <br />The three door Beverage Air freezer reach in was observed with splatters on the outside doors. Clean unit within 3 days and <br />maintain clean. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: All utensils and equipment shall be fully operative and in good repair. (114175). All utensils and equipment <br />shall be approved, installed properly, and meet applicable standards.
