MEMORANDUM OF RECORD <br /> TO: FILE <br /> FROM: Brittani Jacobsen,Manager of Environmental Field Operations <br /> SUBJECT: Universal Waste Bill of Ladings(Locomotive Batteries) <br /> DATE: June 30,2022 <br /> CC: Internal Universal Waste Handlers <br /> Copies of universal waste (UW) disposal records for the transfer of spent locomotive batteries from the Union <br /> Pacific facility in Stockton to the Union Pacific facility in Roseville,CA were not found on site. <br /> California regulations (22 CCR� 66273.39) require a record of each shipment of UW(i.e.,locomotive batteries) <br /> which can be in the form of a log,invoice,manifest,bill of lading,movement document,or other shipping <br /> document from the handler's facility to another facility.The records shall include the following: <br /> 1. The name and address of the UW handler or destination facility to which the UW was sent <br /> 2. The quantity (count or weight) of each type of waste sent <br /> 3. The date of departure of the shipment of UW <br /> The shipping document must be retained for at least three years from the date of shipment. Shipping <br /> documents can be retained onsite,hardcopy sent to: <br /> Union Pacific Railroad c/o GHD <br /> Attn:Manifest Receiving <br /> 6520 Corporate Dr. <br /> Indianapolis,IN 46278 <br /> Or digital copy emailed to: UPRR-WMgVhd.com <br /> Shipping documentation requirements,whole or in part,was discussed with handlers on May 25,2022,and <br /> June 29,2022.
